Yes, the work Mercedes Motoring does is stunning and well worth the attention of MBTV. I do remember when I visited my friend Rick (Mercedes Taxicab in Cape Cod), he told me I was the first person to come as a result of the video on the MB site!

I will be moving to Cali soon, and I would absolutely love to pay JG a visit. I do hesitate I can afford any of his masterpieces; my $1,200 wagon is keeping me very busy at the moment and need to get it ready soon!

The mid-March batch will be here soon. Any preferences for this time?

Man, this thread has gotten so popular I should start charging a finder's fee, hehehe. However, I would appreciate people telling me about interesting local finds... I am looking for a 190SL, Pagoda or an Euro R107 SLC with a bad engine or missing drivetrain. I do dearly miss my 380SLC, but it really had to go (Thanks again, Powerpig! I trust you will take care of her!).

I would say my favourite of all these is the '79 230CE. Definitely a solid $1,000 cross-country cruiser with some work. Same question, which cheapo-benz would you take to go from one point of the country to the other?

Thanks for continually updating this list! I need to jump on the next cosmetically challenged Euro W123 coupe that pops up, as I would pay dearly for the euro bumpers, lights, manual windows and 4-speed transmission. Then I would have a nice beater that starts in the winter (or V8 swap project car) when I swap everything over.

That 197? 300SD for 650 in Phoenix is a 1980 W116, I've spoke with the girl. WVO mobile, good for parts probably, unless you wanna fix the linkages and deal with the damage she probably did with likely poorly filtered WVO.
