Surely they are dreaming on a truck needing everything....it looks totalled too with the body damage.

I like Eddie Cheever but come on!

There's a thread in the vintage section from earlier in the year. I'd love to own it. I know a shop that specializes in mercedes and also firetrucks and buses. They'd love to see this baby.

It's on the post-lottery list of cars to buy.

Does anyone here remember that cool old bus that went up at the Barett Jackson a few years ago? It was restored by a group of people who hoped they'd get their investment back but there was a flurry of excited bidders that pushed it over a million in a matter of minutes.

This old truck is certainly restorable in the right hands.

The million dollar truck you speak of was one of three used by gm for their auto shoe motoramas. Nobody expects any of the others if they should turn up to go for anywhere near that. (I saw one of those about ten years ago sitting outside the auburn cord duesenberg musem in auburn indiana, moldering.)

Yes, that's right. Thanks for jogging my memory. They interviewed the sellers before the auction and they suspect that unit to go anywhere near what it did. Auction excitement.
