It's better then what I have on there now!!

If I did buy it I'd probably steal the front end parts off of it, take the engine, and whatever else I may need wagon specific then scrap it.

The stinkin' rusty thing just purred like a kitten, then headed off from Texas to Cali and lived there for a year without issue.
It is a gold mine of parts for somebody. The "city haul off" scenario really has me concerned.....

I know someone that is looking for a good motor and would probably jump at the opportunity to buy that. Is there a phone number or e mail address that the owner could be reached at?

Shipping CAN be surprisingly cheap if you're willing to wait 5 or 6 days for your car. It's worth a little research of you need parts...

You're going to have to make sure no damage was done when it was overheated, but I imagine the motor is still fine. You can have your friend PM me and I'll forward the phone number.

I can't tell from the pictures, but it does not look too bad. You have to remember that where I am at brake lines on '04's are being replaced due to rust. It would be in my drive way if it were closer.

Thumbs down Forgeddaboutit

Zach's a goof ball ~ he's not interested in selling . I took time off and rustled up two helpers , truck & trailer only to have him jerk me off , he can't bother to answer his 'phone nor return messages .

I'll prolly be buying parts off it in Pick-A-Part next month .

What a goof .

It will start with a jump, run and drive, but will overheat. I'm 2000 miles away otherwise I would figure something out.

There are plenty of details in this thread, but in a nutshell, its a rusty 300TD with under 200k, but has $23,000 worth of service records dating back to 1990. Biggies include a rebuilt transmission and rebuilt front and rear suspension. the list of parts is on page 2 of the thread.

Zach drove this car from Wichita, Ks, to California last year. It drives a whole lot better than it looks. The asking price alone is worth it for the rebuilt transmission. You also get a healthy motor (assuming no damage was done from overheating) and nearly crack free blue dash.

*note: the car no longer has the second row headrests and third row. I swapped the second row with JimmyL sold the third row.

Gone and done it again... Introducing my new CWC candidate
I would buy this car immediately, but jeez, I have no time to go to CA.

So the car is owned by someone who isn't going to respond? I'm in Los Angeles. I'll buy it. But it sounds like others have tried and it ain't gonna happen???? What's the bottom line, is the car for sale or not? And how much are the back parking tickets? Is there back registration due also?

Just checked -- buyer is responsible for back DMV fees only, not back parking tickets. So is this car for sale or not?

Yall just make sure not to take this out on Tyler. Zach is responsible for his actions, and Tyler is just trying to help him out, help a buyer out, and not let the car go to waste.
I'm sure most folks knew this, but I'm just making sure.....

Naaa, not taking anything out on anyone. My partner doesn't answer the phone or return calls. I understand what it's like. If Zach wants to sell it, he'll say so eventually and people will probably be interested, and Tyler is a trooper for helping his friend.
