HAHA!

I didn't put the dash speakers etc in, just enough of it to hold it in place till I get the new dash. The plan is to run all new speaker wire, replace all the pod, replace the vents, any burned out lights the speedo, cause it's jumping and reads 10 mph off when not jumping.

I'm having a really hard time talking the wife into letting my buy the TD. The Blue rover sold tonight and the guy is flying in in the AM to drive it home. The rust on the car is the thing really holding me back. I have dealt with rust before and know what a mess is can be cause your never seeing all of it until you get into the repair. (I actually had a car dipped once)

I'm thinking I would be better off taking the cash and putting it back into the white rover and the 300D I have unless I'm offered a stupid deal I just can't say no to... And for the trip to get it etc, it would have to be really stupid. Cause now my only option would be to fly in and drive it home. I'm talking like 1100 bucks or around there stupid. It was one thing to sell the white one, cause that left me with 2 running cars, but with the blue one gone I'm down to just my 300D.

I know this is not even in your ball park, and It's not meant to offend you or anything it's just where I'm sitting at the moment.

Ya, I have to keep one. I use the 4x4 to much around here not to have it. When it does snow here, we have no clean up service, so a 4x4 is the only way to even get from my house to the highway.

The Blue one went quick. (literally 2 hours after I posted the video it was sold) Guy flew in yesterday and drove it back to FLA. Emailed this morning and is ecstatic with it. (Like I knew he would be) It was a mechanically perfect 105k truck. My wife is PO'd that I sold her truck and now is riding me to get the white one done. The White one had twice the miles, but is cosmetically all but perfect. So It will be a much nicer truck when I'm actually done with it. The plan from the start with it was to convert it to a MB diesel if and when that 4.0 ever gives out.

What would be your bottom dollar on the TD. You can PM me it. She doesn't seem to keen on the rear facing seat for kids... (I kind of like it).

I can't believe that this hasn't found a new home at this price so I'm bumping it.

Someone needs to join the '87 TD club?

I need to join that club, but the rust is a killer for us in the north. Great car, good luck with sale, Hog.

I really want this car.....drool. Been following the thread since Gregg posted it. I haven't owned a second car since I was in my late 20s. This car is perfect for everything including dating, so the girl doesn't get the wrong idea about me. I even love it's color and it appears it may have a trailer hitch?!

It is that time of year (slow). Things should get moving after the holidays.

You could save alot of time putting a price on that For Sale sign with the Toyota. I have a '96 Buick Regal with the 3.8 V6, 101k, advertised locally and it hasn't had a nibble at $2000. A month ago it would have been gone within an hour.

i think you're right about the time of year, and i do have a paper on the dash with the details and price on it. what i was talking about was when i'm there working outside and folks pull up and ask before they walk up to the car and get a look at the paper. they do an 'about face' like "no thanks" and i just shake my head....

i took the battery out saturday and charged it good. it started up this morning (30 degrees) on a long glow and tonight after work (18 degrees) as well. not too shabby driving wise either. i keep expecting to wake up and realize it was just a crazy dream that couldn't sell either of these cars for dirt cheap
