ebay: 1985 MB 207D Flatbed Pickup

1985 Mercedes-Benz

No affiliation. Very neat little truck I'd love to have. Seems like a lot of $$$, though.

I looked at this truck two years ago when the owner put the truck in the paper and I called. He was surly until I knew and told him a bit about MB diesels. Not a time waster- but then I went and visited and he was great. The front windshield was cracked and I searched around for another- never did find one for him. He owns a body shop and it's a nice one. The truck seemed nice- but I did not start or run it.

While that is so cool and euro and gets me all giddy. A couple year old Sprinter is a "better" truck for 1/3 the money. Neat truck though.

I have a windshield for this truck here in DFW with a seal--where is the truck/owner?

Way overpriced. I sold my 1985 409d with the 617 and 5spd with half that mileage for 1/4 of the price.

Glen Cove NY. I used to have his number not not anymore. I'm sure you can contact him via ebay and ask him if he still needs a windshield.

You could buy a brand new sprinter for less money - surely he's got the decimal point in the wrong place?

I think he's way over priced but you can't buy a new one of these....

Pricing is all relative. Volkswagen Syncro Westfalia and Double Cabs bring this kind of money and more all the time. To the right individual, the price might just be a bargain.

Cool truck, for $5k maybe. For $40k I'll buy a loaded to the gills Silverado and have a better all around vehicle.
