FS: 1990 350 SDL 190K, thing just wont quit

I bought this car 2 years ago from a friend in Texas. I've driven it gently, probably about 10k. Has some issues but none appear related to engine (front end, leaks a little fuel). Its been a pleasure to drive and is easily the highest quality car I've ever had, but we need to reduce the number of cars. Also selling our 2002 Outback and looking for a 4matic. Pics if you want them. Both are inexpensive, not trying to make money here.

Jeremy

Do you have pics of the 350 SDL. Is the leaking fuel due to bio-dieseal? What is your asking price? Is the any rust?

The fuel leak isn't due to bio. It is at the top of the injection pump and I have been told it is a 300-600 dollar repair. It leaves a palm of your halnd size spot every few days. Nonflammable of course.

There is an oil leak at the back of the filter housing. It is minor I am told, so I have left it alone. I have not noticed this clinically.

I have just had the front ball joints done. I am told the castor joints and engine mounts should be done, but no rush.

There isn't any obvious external rust, and its never been exposed to salt. It was garaged except for last year. Dash intact. Leather without rips.

Anyone want it as payment towards a well cared for 4matic, let me know.

Well I don't really know. I am looking for something reliable and early to mid-2000s give or take. I haven't had the chance to read the enormous amount of information here about various models. I like the E320 and E350 of the early 2000s but know little about them. Any advice? Again, something reliable, doesn't have to be pretty.

I think 3k is a reasonable price, given that someone will need to put money into it for mechanical stuff but that its is in ok shape internally and good shape in the cabin and exterior.
