1985 BLACK Mercedes Benz 280E Euro sedan - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Up for sale in Southern California is this 1985 Mercedes Benz 280E Euro sedan. It has the 2.8 L. 6 cyl. fuel injected gasoline engine, and a 4 speed manual transmission. This is a fun car to drive, and I hate to see it go. However, I have too may cars (mostly Diesel) and its time to "thin the heard".
It is equipped with European bumpers, headlights (vacuum adjustable), headlight wipers (need wiper blades) and clear corner lights (new). The air conditioning system has had recent work done - receiver/drier, expansion valve replaced, and hose repair. It still retains R12 refrigerant, and works well. The car has 176,3XX miles on the working (most of the time) odometer. There is no radio, and not sure if the power antenna works. The interior is clean, and has no rips in the upholstery. The dash only has a few small cracks in it.
All gauges work as they should, including clock. Sliding roof and windows work as they should. The vacuum door locks do NOT work, as I have not had time to find the problem. The car has a safety triangle and first aid kit included. The tires are good, and mounted on painted "bundt" wheels with chrome lugs. The paint is shiny and the body sound, with only a few exceptions. There are a few rust spots, and dents. The rust spots are on the driver side rear quarter, and a few on the hood. The dents are on the deck lid, and driver side front fender behind molding (barely noticeable). Please view photos. More photos available. The only mechanical issue I know of, is an oil leak from the front crankshaft seal.
