Feeler: 87 300SDL for parts/fix, Nebraska

I have a white with brown interior 87 300SDL. Two years ago it gradually started smoking blue pretty bad and was idling poorly. It had decent oil pressure but it would fluctuate up and down as it idled. I took it to a mechanic who thought it could be a fuel problem so he replaced the injectors and that didn't fix it. He ran a compression test and it came back somewhat low if I remember correctly. The car has 170k miles.

I let it sit for a while as I mulled over my options and drove my parents spare car for a while. I ended up putting it in storage (neighbors kept calling the cops because it was on the street) a year ago. I ended up picking up a low miles BMW in the mean time and it has been sitting since.

With work and school I don't have the time or money to fix it. It has minimal rust but there is one spot on the rear wheel arch. The front end has a bit of paint chipping.

With fresh fuel and a charged battery it should start, run, and drive. The interior is very clean with the exception of one very small tear on the back seat and the front seats are a bit worn.

I can get pictures of it in a few weeks.

$2000obo

Anyone interested?

i had a similar oil pressure "fluctuation" issue... seems the oil pressure send unit (on the oil filter housing) was covered in oil and messing with the electrical connection, i cleaned it off, problem solved.... cost: a rag and some spray cleaner

good luck
