FOR SALE: 1983-300CD-Stillwater, OK-$1,500.00

Hello all. I have a 1983 300CD with 307,000 miles for sale. I have had this car for 8 years and it is time for me to part with it as I do not drive it anymore. It is tan in color and the interior is tan. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures at this moment but I will have them uploaded soon.

You can get in the car and drive it away just fine. However, the reason I am selling it so cheap is because there are some issues that need attention for it to be a comfortable daily driver.

The air conditioning compressor is not on the engine because the bolts that go into the block have broken off. The compressor is in the trunk.

A few years ago, I removed the engine and transmission in order to change some leaky gaskets that were hard to get to. During re-installation, I broke the nipple off of the waste-gate. I have a bolt screwed in to the hole so it builds boost. A boost gauge was installed during the time I drove it so I could keep an eye on the boost pressure.

The passenger front seat was removed when I bought the car. Not sure what the story there is.

The driver seat and back seat are in pretty good condition. There is a tear on the drivers seat on the edge closest to the door.

Both front windows role up and down, the rear quarter windows do not.

The original first aid kit is in the cubby by the back windshield and the triangle is mounted in the trunk.

There is some body damage to the passenger door and a little on the right rear quarter panel. However, the damage is minimal and it is rather hard to see unless you are looking for it. This is because the paint is not scraped away when the damage was done. It is more of a small crease rather than a dent.

The dash is in pretty good shape. And like most of these cars, the wood trim is not the best. But it is all there.

The factory radio was not there when I bought the car so I put a radio in it I had. The radio is now removed and one will not be included in the sale.

The RPM gauge is not hooked up and does not work. All other guages work fine.

All of the exterior lights work as they should. There is a bulb or two burned out in the cluster that will need replaced. The vents work like they should and the heat/AC controller worked perfect when the compressor was charged and working.

I put a new battery in it a year ago and the right rear tire is brand new. I also put two new rear CV shafts in the car 2 years ago. I drove this car from Missouri to Stillwater, OK and had no problems with it. All of the fluids are fresh and full.

It is a dependable car, and mechanically, it is solid. It needs a lot of the things fixed that a car of this year and miles needs.

The central locking system works perfectly, including the fuel door and trunk.

Sun roof works good.

The interior carpet is in good shape and is all there.

The paint is in great shape and there is no rust.

I believe I have covered most all of the small things that need attention, however, I may have forgotten a few things.

I hate to sell the car but it does not get driven and is an expense I do not need.

The price of the car is $1,500 firm. The title is clean and clear.

I would be completely comfortable getting in this car and driving 3-4 hours away from home. This may be due to me knowing the car very well and I am able to work on them. (Many thanks to the fine folks on this forum for the vast amount of information over the years.)

I live in Joplin, MO and the car is in Stillwater, OK. I have someone available to show the car, but I will have to make arrangements to do so a day or two in advance. Serious inquires only please.

I will post pics as soon as I can. Any questions, please feel free to email me at MB300CD4SALE@YAHOO.COM or PM me on hre and I will check it several times a day.

I may be able to find some pics on this forum that I posted years ago. If so, I'll re-post them. The picture in my picture box is this car.

Thank You!
