'82 300CD Chassis
- NJ origin/NJ currently
- Rolling Chassis/most interior - Astral Silver / Blue interior - NO ENGINE - NO TRANS (no AT) Overall, a terrific W123 Coupe Chassis to work with. It is very clean and ready for 30 years. This car was professionally repainted to include a brand new (NOS) Roof from MBZ installed nearly 10-years ago. It was kept in a CC garage ever since and never completed. We ran it in March and the engine started having problems (hence the engine removed etc. - seems to be a possible spun bearing). The front two fenders were also replaced by the same body shop that handled the roof replacement (a tree limb fell on the original & dented it & never seemed right again = professional replacement of the entire roof and sunroof at the same time). This chassis is extremely nice. A terrific foundation. ONE NEGATIVE: I recently found a moderate rust spot (the very only one I could find) near the passenger side/underbody area (a spot that was suspicious under the original factory undercoating). It is most definately something very easily taken care of. I also had the Radiator support replaced with a brand new support from MBZ as it was old and weathered. *** IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR a very straight chassis that is ready for the road once again + you want bright/factory fresh (looking) ASTRAL SILVER painted W123 COUPE - this is a car to consider. Take your rusted out & tired looking W123 & put the very best of it into this rolling chassis = a very nice & super clean W123 COUPE. Heck, put a SB 350 with perched blower and slicks and look like an idiot. . . whatever floats your boat. . . I know my W123s and have a matching Sedan & '83 Coupe.
