1974 Mercedes 280C, W114 Washington DC area
I'm putting my car back for sale...actually was never not for sale, but I can't edit my old post:
1974 Mercedes 280C, W114 Chassis I am the 2nd owner, car as-is is a real head-turner when out driving. - Unknown miles, no record of how many times the odometer has rolled, shows 16,500. - Engine is the M110 engine with a 4-barrel Solex 4A1 (basically a Quadrajet carb) US engine, 145HP. Runs OK as-is. With a tune-up it would be great. In current state of tune it made it from Pamplin, VA to Arlington, VA (3.75 hour drive). - Original interior (could use new floor mats) in OK condition. - Repaint about 2 years before being put into storage 10 years ago, paint looks good. - Due to being in storage for years, it will need some new weatherstripping and rubber parts, change of all fluids (transmission, rear diff etc.) - New set of Aluminum wheels from a 240D (hubcaps still on car) and new tires...including spare. Resulted in a loss of 60 lbs of weight from the car!!! - Looking for an owner can can keep it in a garage and do a full or partial restore to enjoy. - Have a FULL set of Factory service manuals (for the car and for the engine) - New car cover Update to reflect what may be the need for a new fan clutch. Price: $4500 Original posting link below: 1974 Mercedes 280C...Washington DC area http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/attachments/vintage-mercedes-forum/56075d1213797487-looking-two-tones-280crecent2.jpg Thanks for looking
