I bought this car from the second owner to use as my travel car with my
Spouse who retired , now she says we must have a Station Wagon to haul
the Foster kids in so this beautiful classic coupe is up for sale .

It is a 30 year old car that was never garaged so the L.A. sun &
smog took it's toll on the paint and various rubber parts, this is why
I did the following repairs ~ total repaint in the original color Oriental Red & replaced many parts (ball joints , drive axles , transmission rebuilt etc.) simply had bad rubber or leaky seals so I had them rebuilt as we like to travel far , wide , FAST & SAFELY ! this car has been to Death Valley and other far flung places as it's a comfortable , reliable touring car . The fuel economy is between 25 ~ 30 MPG's , if you go over 60 MPH it drops to 25 . some folks claim wild 50 MPG fuel mileage , it simply isn't true .

I stopped keeping track when I passed $7,500.00 in parts & repairs .

Custom built BOSCH high output alternator ~ 110 amperes

New battery & re-finished battery tray

Master and Valet keys , one key fits all locks

New HD Bilstien Shock Absorbers

New Speakers , original Becker FM stereo Radio plays well

Original Hirschmann power antenna with new German mast works perfectly

Original optional 14" light alloy wheels , re finished and original Mercedes all metal lifetime valve stems fitted to all five wheels

Radial 205/70R14 all weather tires 90 % tread

Completely rebuilt cooling & heating system using new and rebuilt parts , Aluminum bodied servo , amplifier etc.

New Motor Mounts

Optional passenger side mirror

A few minor cracks in the dashboard

Nice door panels and carpets , Palomino color

All lights , horn , intermittent wipers & safety equipments work

Recent major service including oil & filter , valve adjustment , fuel filters and coolant flush and refill

Current California tags & title in my name

The heater core could use replacing , it works so I don't fool with it , heater & defroster work perfectly .

If I had the cash and time to visit CA, I would buy it. Price is very good, especially since the CD has fewer numbers traveling the highways and byways.

It IS a great car , both looking and driving , I drove it daily , far & wide but now it's surplus and sadly I'll never get the $$ back out so hopefully someone who understands caring for older Vehicles will get it and take good care of it .

All the local M-B Club guys with W123 Coupes are screaming bloody murder , saying I've killed the resale value on them for a couple years .

No one has any $ these days so I just need rid of it .
