I don't see any evidence of odometer fraud - that car looks in the appropriate condition for a 20k-mile car. I wouldn't pay $15k for it, but that's only because I know too much. The bad news is that car will need $2k in work the day it's bought; the good news is that it's a pristine, perfect w123 with low miles - not many of those around. Bad news is that the first time someone bangs a shopping cart into it when you 'just ran into the store real quick', you've just damaged a $15k low-mileage collector car.

That car better come with a lot of papers.

Gerkebi has one with even fewer miles. Things age even when not in use.

Auto check verified the odometer claim.

Because when you change all the fluids, fire it up and start driving it, you will find leaks from the dried gaskets and seals. Then you'll have to fix those leaks. Add to it: motor mounts, suspension bushings, frozen calipers/brake lines, and a new AC something to seal that up too.

$2,000. Easily. Been there, done all of that. Never buy a low-mileage car that was sitting for extended periods of time.

I guess.

I don't know what you pay for registering a car in NY, but it was registered every two years, so it's not like it was forgotten. It had 19.3 in 2001. 700 miles on a registered car in 11 years? 100 of those since the pics were taken? The numbers increased at every reading, so I guess it's possible that it just sat until it was required to be inspected again.

The glove box is warped and the antenna is busted and there's a dent on the fender.

$25k. No thanks.

X2

You are much better off buying something that has been driven but seriously cared for in my opinion

Who's gonna pay 25K for a poop brown non turbo 123 sedan?
I think brown and the gold MB put on the 123's were the worst colors.
Wagons were going for that price a few years ago, with more miles on them.

Nice car, probably worth $10k, but maybe the market is moving up on these old Mercedes, finally.

Can't go any lower on the W126's, they are trading for practically scrap value.
