This was a good running car four years ago. I bought it for a friend so she could get rid of her VW Beetle. She was so underwater on the Beetle the deal didn't work out.

While the car was parked at her house, it was vandalized worse than I realized at the time. Since then I rewired it so it will probably pass state inspection in Texas.

The interior is totally trashed. The body is typical Texas, no rust (except on the front bumper, the paint is faded like Hell, I suspect old bodywork on the driver's side rear quarter panel.

The engine starts like a champ on the first cycle. The transmission was great until the break-in, it shifts erratically now. I'm sure they broke a vacuum hose since it does not turn off with the key.

Before the break-in, I put a new set of Bilstein comfort shocks on the front. They have at most 30 miles on them. The rear shocks were good.

I would love for this car to go to a Mercedes home. I will be listing the car tomorrow on the local Craigslist for $600. If it does not sell in two weeks, I will strip what I can and send it to junk yard.
