Within the next year I will have to buy a car for my youngest daughter. I am sure going to try and see what Tyler can find. He is very good at finding nice examples of autos and is always a pleasure to deal with.
Of course, her car will be much lower budget than this one, but for the $$$$, you can't get much more car for the money than this one!!

Thanks everyone for the PMs and interest, and a great discussion on the car.
Wilsonw116 has a check on the way, so it looks like she's going to salty Chicago. Lets hope he keeps this one clean. It really has been a joy to drive around. I certainly won't shy away from clean W210s anymore.

I'll do my best to keep her nice and the salt off. Boy it was tough looking for a rust free W124s here around Chicago. I never did find one completely free of the stuff and gave up the search. Thats why I'm buying this W210 off Tyler.
Recently I bought a W123 300D in Wisconsin. I had to go there because a good W123 is not to be found in Chicago for some reason or another. Anyhow, really pleased and excited about picking this car up and driving it back to Chi-town. Thanks a lot Tyler. |

Sold to Wilson116, and he had a pretty uneventful trip back to Chicago.
Unfortunately the PO445 code repeated on him. Check engine lights, especially for fuel ventilation, are annoying little boogers. Thankfully its a pretty easy/cheap one to narrow down. I thought for sure I had it since the old gas cap was not OEM and dry rotted, and I had put quite a few miles on afterwards to make sure. Can't win 'em all. The last CE code I fought with was a 95 E320 for an injector misfire. We replaced both fuel pump (noisy and needed to be done), fuel filter, next the injector and seals, and the problem still persisted. Turned out to be the coolant temperature sensor was causing the car to run lean and throw that code. Arghh.
