New Classifieds Forum Guidelines - October 2011
 

RULES:

Since Pelican's integration with Peach Parts, we've relaxed some of the rules here to make them run a bit smoother based upon what has worked and not worked in the past.

- Commercial listings are now allowed. We ask that if you are a dealer posting ads, that you combine them into a single post. Multiple posts "spamming" the forums will be deleted, and your account may be disabled.

- Sellers, the better job you do describing your car and the more pictures you post, the easier it will be to sell your car. Be sure to include your location. No more than two for sale posts at any given time, no bumping posts more than once every three days, and threads that have been bumped five times or more may be closed. Multiple user accounts for the same person / business are not allowed. And finally, Mercedes cars only.

Inside you can attach pictures and details. Uploading pictures...file size too big!

- This is strictly a classified section - replies to ads trashing a car or negative opinion posts about a car will be deleted. If you suspect anything fraudulent with the sale alert a moderator. No longer will flaming the car's price, condition, character of the seller, etc, be permitted. It was suggested to me by members that they no longer wanted to posts ads on this site because their ads and cars were getting trashed by people. We wish to make this an open and inviting forum for people to post their ads.

- Posting links, offers, or requests for stolen vehicles, parts, or any copyrighted material is prohibited. Requests for VIN lookups are not permitted. Requests for Carfax reports are not permitted. These threads will be edited or deleted.

how about enforcing these policies?

How about adding a rule that one cannot get onto another person's ad and offer a similar item or car for sale?

Report them and get enforcement
