1975 Mercedes 240d Diesel
116,000 Miles, Manual

This car starts and runs but is smoking between the engine and transmission. Although I haven't done a compression check, it has quite a bit of blow-by from the crankcase. I drove this car regularly until June when I parked it. I have started it every two weeks since then and drive it around the block once a month. It still has quite a bit of power and shifts ok, but I don't think it would be a good idea to drive it other than locally until the engine issues have been addressed.
Most of the rust has been repaired/treated on the vehicle, but there a couple of small surface spots.

New parts in last 3,000 miles:

Clutch master cylinder
Exhaust
Rear shocks(Bilstein)
Front shock bushings
Starter rebuilt
All four injectors rebuilt

This vehicle also needs a new front windshield seal, it leaks water into the cab through it.

Sold it yet? Do you know anything more about the engine? Could it be a rear seal leak, dripping onto the exhaust? Left you PM?
