I had a '79 W116 300SD in Silver w/ Blue Tex in the early 90's and loved it. I'd be interested in seeing interior photos as that seems to be the weak point in these [leaking rear window, stinking, rotten rear seat foam]. Is it cloth or Tex? I'd be game at $1000. I'm 3-4 hours from Raleigh.

IF someone like lifeisabeach wants me to check close up and post pics, I will try to find time to go to town for an inspection.

Owner states that window was ajar and leaked, so he replaced with all NEW carpet.
likely some generic shapes? Also seats are suppose to be nice, but switched by PO to a black, tex I think?
Palomino trim interior.

Owner claimed that he put a couple NEW window regulators in too, but then the master window switch got broken. Bring a driver's window switch to test!

Also: "rough cold start but always fires up". No known history of valve adjustments

As ad states, new motor mounts. Sunroof works.

Sounding like a pieced together, questionable condition, leaky car to me but for the price it was expected [but one can dream can't they]. I swear I've never seen a dry daily driver W116 or W123.

I might call him anyway. I'll let you know if I want you to look closer.
