1987 300SDL for sale
This car has 178k miles on it, some rust. Biggest problem is the front suspension...needs serious work, front stabilizer bar mounts have torn free from the body. Also, transmission fluid leak at the pump mount.
Compression is good, still starts with one cycle of the glow plugs on a cold morning, at least down to 20 F or so... I also have the CD with the tech manuals on it, several spare parts (6 spare injectors (should be tested and rebuilt as necessary), an injector pop tester, a large assortment of injector shims, a radiator, an intake manifold and cross-over pipe...maybe more). The battery was just replaced (old battery was over 7 years old...and abused). I know that the market value of this car is low, but the parts are valuable...particularly a 603.961 engine with good compression. I would like to sell this car for a price reflecting the value of the parts—somewhere between the value of the car and the value of the individual parts. If someone wants to put the work into it, this would be a great car for years to come; or, someone fixing up one or more of these cars could use this one for its parts. If I can't get a reasonable price, I'm looking at renting a garage and parting it out myself...

I'm looking for around $5700, if I get that...she goes, otherwise I'll be looking to either: a) fix it and then sell it, or b) rent a garage and part it out...

Should be, would take some skilled welding and body work.
