1990 300E 2.6 Black/ Grey-tex $1,200 Sacramento

VIN WDBEA26D8LB208384

Has been my son's college car and most recently, my daily driver. Always had a rock-solid idle, the best of the all the 124's I've had over the past 15 years. Sunday, it started leaking oil into the #6 cylinder- leaking head gasket. It's time for me to pass it on to someone who'll rebuild her and give her a new home. I'm one of those neat and tidy guys so the car is in very good shape. This is way too good a car to go to the salvage yard or the state auto reclamation program.

See my eBay listing# 90654213391

There's no oil in the coolant and no coolant on the dip stick. The compression for cylinders 1-3 about 105, for 4-6 about 95. Normal operating temp. As you can tell from all the maintenance list below, I had planned to keep her for quite a while longer.

Comes with: Maintenance records and receipts, Mercedes tool kit, Mercedes First Aid Kit, Mercedes jack and full size spare

What's good about the car: (most everything)
Super clean and tidy engine bay
No warning lights on (all of them are connected)
Outside temp display works
Speedo cluster works and was replaced at 150k with one that read 187K, now has 220K miles.
The interior is excellent- no rips or tears
Carpet in good condition with no stains
All the windows work
Dark tint in very good condition on all windows except front windows
Seats work
Climate control works- blower replaced and working
Heat and Defrost work
Straight body, no rust, minimal door dings
Paint shinny with only the top of the driver's fender and the pass. rear fender slightly faded, no peeling clear coat
New water pump
New thermo fan pulley
New serpentine belt
Replaced belt tensioner and shock
Replaced A/C condenser fans
Just did a tune up
New air filter
New oil and oil filter
New trans oil, filter and gasket
New stock hood pad
Seats work
New valve cover gasket
Newly repainted valve cover in black Wrinkle paint
Winshield washer fluid heating system works
Central locking works
Barely any oil leaks of any kind, 1-2 drops every so often

Repairs i had planned to make:
Replace A/C compressor
Sunroof binds when it lowers to slide back
Cruise control doesn't stay on
Can't lock the driver's door from the outside (I think someone tried to take her)
Typical cracking of the wood at the center console
Worn: idelr arm, center link, tire rod ends and steering damper

I'm hoping some MBZ fan can keep her going.
Pic's to follow this weekend.
Serious inquiries only.

Thanks,

Al
