For Sale: SHARP 1982 300D, 107k mi, No Rust
I am selling my 1982 300D, southern car, no rust, all original paint, never driven in Ohio salt. I am asking $7900 on CL, but that may be a dream, so please make reasonable/competive offer. I need to sell due to purchasing a 2011 C300 for my wife this past week and I now have her "old" 1998 E300 TD to drive. I am in OH. Links to pics and walk-around movies are in the linked page. Looks like there's rust bubbling on the fender under the front bumper. Really common area as dirt collects there. Spend a few hundred at the body shop cleaning that up, as well as the rock chips on the nose. Really easy to take the front bumper off and headlight surrounds to make spraying a snap for them.
If the interior is as clean as the outside, by all means toss it on ebay. Any rust, interior or mechanical flaws are going to make top dollar next to impossible. There's also a decent chance some impulse buyer on craigslist will snap it up. There's been much worse examples than fetch a higher price than you're asking once in a blue moon. You just never know.
