Thanks Jim....

Guys, this is a really nice 126 SDL. No, it's not dirt cheap--and it's light ivory-- but is only a bit more than junky cars that need everything and are totally beat up. It's also tons less than the garage queens out there. I have about 10 years worth of receipts, the interior is super nice with not one crack in the dash, it has a recent AC compressor, brakes, and much, much other stuff. I've driven it almost 400 miles in the last 3 days, and she still has over a quarter tank remaining. EVERYTHING--windows, sunroof, cruise, AC, central locking, instruments including Odo-works nicely, the tranny is very positive, drivetrain is very quiet, and I have spent a good bit of time on the paint making it look even better than the pix. European lights with working city's, nice Pioneer in dash CD (original in trunk), block heater, original pouch/manuals and 2 real keys. Couple other small things I'd do, which I'll disclose in detail. $4800 or a reasonable offer. You can pay $2500 and spend $2500, or you can let my guy take the hit....much easier! Thanks for your help.

Allen stopped by the shop in it the other day and the engine sounded great in addition to it being a very good looking car.

Mine

Thanks to all who helped with advice, especially Allenjdmb (a long time member of MBCA) and Engatwork, FRIEDA is now MINE! Also brought my best friend to inspect who is a master diesel mechanic and it checked out, so she is now in my driveway. This car is in incredible mechanical and cosmetic shape. It was obvious that this was owned by MB freaks like us. Drove her home from Macon to Dahlonega 125 miles, last leg thru mountainous roads and she pulled/handled awesomely.

Will be my daily driver, added to our Benz collection. Wife's daily is a 124 car.

Enjoyed meeting you...

And always glad to make a new MB friend. She is a grand ole gal, runs and drives great, and makes good sense. I hope you guys had a good time and will recommend me to others. Jim, I owe you one for sending him my way. How bout if I load up some nice steaks, bring my dog to play with your crew, and let's fire up that nice grille on your porch?
Thanks to everyone again. My client is happy and hope you are as well.
