WTB: '95 E320 Wagon

Sadly, it looks as if I may have to replace my beloved black wagon.

My Wife & I swapped cars last week so I could take care of a few little things for her & give her car a bath. She had my Son in the car & was hit @ the front axel - hard enough that the shock tower is over ~6mm & the engine hit the compartment wall hard enough to shatter the intake manifold & blow a mount, suspension is folded under, fender & door are a total loss, etc. I'm a mechanic, so a repair would be possible, but as I discover new items to add to the list, we may be reaching a tipping point where it simply makes more sense to find another wagon. . .

Anyone have a nice 124 wagon they'd like to part with? Not interested in a basket case, but also not afraid of a few "issues". Prefer a '95, bonus points for black paint & MB Tex!

Came across this one on eBay. No affiliation & have not looked a it personally, just going by the ad.

1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320

$3,495.00 BIN. Black/black MB-Tex. It looks pretty good, but it does have it's issues. Not fully loaded, but better equipped then most (ASR, headlight wipers, heated seats). The description is a bit much...supposedly had the head gasket done, needs a trans rebuild now though. No word on A/C. Missing head rests, some rust issues, non-op outside temp, drivers seat tear.....not sure if it would be worth it to you, thought I'd pass it along anyway.

With reverse going out I would either low ball him and put in the one in your wagon (if it's good) or pass on it.

Good wagons can be found if you give it some time.

Thanks for the link! Saw the auction - seems high for a car with BOTH rust AND Trans issues. . .still, will keep an eye on it, might be able to combine parts from mine (same black on black) & end up with a good one. . .

Part of me is thinking it might be fun to go in a different direction & find a 123 diesel wagon!!!

Thanks t_walgamuth, but 4matic + desert sand pretty much kills it for me. I have a Euro 230TE right now that I like very much & it would take a really clean '95, 2WD in either Silver or Black to tempt me.

Don't know if you have found the one yet but here's a beauty I saw in The Star magazine (July-Aug issue) page 106 lower right corner. 1995 E320 wagon. It's exactly like the one we have EXCEPT it has the new wiring harness, rear hydraulic shocks (spheres?), pressure accumulators, and lines, front brakes. New tires, all maintenance up to date, with all books and records. 137K green with beige leather asking 4995 OBO. If interested give me a PM and I'll give you contact info. Looks like it's in IL. Heated seats.

We're letting our 1995 e320 go @ 850.00 because it has all those issues!
