He's had that listed for a couple of weeks now, I wish him luck. Funny how some people just shrug reality!

Very nice car. I can see it selling for his price to the right person. Coupe, sport line, low mileage......looks just like a new car. Look at pristine w123 cars selling in high teens and twenties.

Really? Doesn't appear to be a sportline. Merely, badged. Changed wheels, steering wheel, shift knob, added chrome mirror covers, I should be able to get more for my original....

Apparently not owned by someone that is fastidious about maintenance. Green coolant rather than MB spec, and black brake fluid. I've never before seen brake fluid that dark.

I guess the ad did state the stuff was added. Still a nice car.

Let's see how this thread goes and how much it can be picked apart

Hey, I already did my part. I'll toss in one more - spare tire looks like a cheap off-brand. At that price, I want a brand new spare that matches the other four wheels & tires. Like Mercedes intended!

Different pedals, gear selector with the Star on top of it. As well as the Star below the glovebox. It looks too well detailed, but I'd love to take it for a spin!

That's normal. The CE got the M104 before the sedans did (in the USA). Notice this M104 has an aircleaner like the M103 - it's an earlier electro-mechanical injection system, not the HFM we're accustomed to on the later engines.

I don't see him getting 30k. Not for a while anyway.
The seller is in Mass. I wonder where has the car lived it's life? Snow country or in the south?

FWIW, I paid 15k for my 88 in 2001 on Ebay. It had 41k on the odo.
As it looked then... a Fla snowbird car.:

As it looks today, with 133k on the odo:

Be surprised if I'd get over 5 or 6 today......and I spent over 4 grand on it last year. That's why it ain't for sale. I'll get some of that back in smiles if not dollars.

It's a clean looking maching tho....Hope he gets his price.
Say, were the wiring harnesses an issue in the '91 124s? Might still be wearing the original if so.
Final thought. Before I paid 30k for it, I'd check with my insurance co to find out what they would pay if it was totaled or stolen. Might have to jack up the coverge.

Talking

L☺L $29k ???!!!

Sold my 90 300CE for only $3200 had about 150k miles
it is very clean
sold it to a local retired guy just a couple miles from me

more photos

https://picasaweb.google.com/100223473908666832239/My90Merc300ce?authuser=0&feat=directlink

I had traded my 1980 BMW 320i for it plus $600 since I delivered (the guy was in Vegas)
I paid $2500 for my car, so I made a few extra bucks after selling the CE

Another great clean car I wish I would have kept
but the little 1.8 liter four banger was too underpowered

My 90 had one too, it was the first year to have the 24v engine
300CE was always the flagship or first car to have anything new
