1985 Mercedes 300D

It's a reliable daily driver. I only have room for one MB and recently picked up a '97, so this one has to go. I would love to see someone on this board get it and keep it going for a long time, plenty of life in it. Odo reads 203K miles but it was broken when I got it in 2007, it read 167K at the time.

Bump - lowering price down to $2700. I just put new motor mounts on it and it runs smooth. White with blue interior - leather front seats, MB Tex rear seats

The good: Over the last 5 years and 40,000 miles of ownership, it has received a new master cylinder, motor mounts, water pump, belts, A/C hoses, rear calipers, shift linkage, auxiliary fan, glow plug relay, rear passenger window regulator. Just had a valve adjustment in January. Four good tires with plenty of tread. I had a fender-bender July of last year, but the damage was professionally repaired and it looks fine. I had the rims repainted at the time. No rust except for some surface rust at the inside of the bottom of the doors. A/C blows cold. Old single stage paint so no ugly clearcoat peeling. Windows tinted.

The not so good: Front seats are a little torn but presentable, door locks don't work automatically (vacuum leak, I disconnected the system). Some cracks in dash. Will post pictures soon.
