Funny, I was doing the same in Northern Europe - spending a vacation and looking for old mercedes. I also was suprised to see very few old mercedes. The most common was the w126, a couple of 124's, and one W107. However in Copenhagen I did see three old mercedes drive by in a row one Sat morning - a convertible from the 30's (540K maybe), a sedan from the 50's, and W112 fintail sedan. No doubt they were off for a car show somewhere.

I guess I forget what the rest of the world is like since I live in S. California. I see multiple W123 sedans every single day driving around. Until 2 weeks ago, my daily driver was a W123 wagon and I didn't baby it like a show car - I used it for hauling car parts. I see multiple times per month 114/115 sedans driving around, not so often the coupes. And I see Pagodas driving around more than once a month. It just seems normal to me, but I guess that's Los Angeles and not the rest of the world. (116s are common also, and 108s certainly are not rare).

Maybe I need to take a long vacation to Deutschland and bring my 114 coupe with me and sell it there!

Scott

Scott I'd love to buy it but we don't have the space! Blue and Red W114's would be sweet.

Beautiful coupe....

Price is fair and it will sell. Maybe try posting it on some international sites. I've sold a pristine W123 before to a guy out of Holland. Shipping was like $1,500 I think.

Any suggestions as to where to advertise? I thought all of the europeans read S. California Craigslist...

More Motivated

Hey folks, I'm more motivated. My 1967 250S project is done and I really don't have the room for both cars.

I would like to move the 1971 250 C.

If you are interested please contact me.

Well, I am sorry that it is leaving us here in the U.S., but congrats on the sale!

Quite adorable and I'm pretty sure I could fit one in my suitcase and check it as luggage. But other than the old Fiat 500's I have seen _nothing_ from before about 2000 (except for the W126). Actually, it is my understanding that Italy has a "cash-for-clunkers"-type program that keeps getting extended and extended. That would explain why the only cars more than 13 years old are 500s -- they're probably the only cars sold in Italy during that era that get such good mileage.
