champagne color. 196000. been my daily driver for four years. working windows, moonroof, central locks and pretty much everything else. a/c runs good. paint and interior in very good condition. still has original owners manual, rearveiw mirror placards from showroom and first aid kit. 2 owner car. has those nifty 37 way power seats.

put new glo plugs in it when i bought it. battery, radiator, waterpump, thermostat, brakepads all less than 3 years old. starts and runs (and shuts off) very well. shifts are nice and tight.

antenna is stuck halfway up, but radio and tape deck work(well, tape deck did work, the last time i actually owned a cassette).

has a few oil leaks on engine, including one on oil pan. goes thru a quart every month or so.

selling because my wife said the mustang, boat, and other projects need my attention and made me get a new car after i told her i would need to drive her truck for a few days while i fixed my oil leak(jetta tdi).

tags have been off three days, but i will take it out once a week to keep it limber till its sold.

asking 2200i know i will probably get flamed for this, but no joke, in town driving i get average of 35-38 mpg. car has full power and good alignment from local firestone. it has the underpanels, but i have them off in the garage while i was trying to figure out where the leak was coming from.

****EDIT****

someone contacted me from a 4 hour highway drive away. i didnt feel comfortable selling the car to him based on the fact that i was not sure that it was fit for that long of a drive. the furthest i have driven it this year is about 50-60 miles away, about 20 in 55mph stop and go, 30 at 70mph and then another 10 country backroad. reapated same trip in reverse two days later.

so take that for what it is worth. the body and interior is still in very, very good shape, so with a little tlc, i think this car would be a proud edition to any drivway.

prefer call or text 931-249-9973 if you are local and are a serious buyer. general questions you can email/message me.

thanks, jes

That sounds like very fair deal.

I wish I knew what's wrong with my driving habits. I have two of these, a 91 and a 92, both in excellent condition, and the best mileage I've ever seen is 32 or so and that's all highway....normal mixed driving is a bit less. How do you and others get 35-38 mpg?????????

You probably drive with the wheels on the ground.
