fs 73 MB 220d, Greenville SC $3k
As stated, 1973 MB 220d Automatic, apx 278k miles, located in Greenville (actually Greer) SC and asking $3000.
History: started out in FL, brought to SC at some point. Engine was replaced by a MB dealer with a factory rebuild at apx 150k miles. Bounced around the Greenville SC area for at least the last the 15-20 years. A buddy of mine bought it apx 97 from ******** MB in Taylors SC, he used it as daily driver until 08 when he gave it to me. He moved to NYC, knew I always liked it and he is a great friend, so it was mine. Now I have a Land Rover in need of head gaskets and head rebuilds, and this is the 6th car in my fleet of 3 drivers and sees the next to least use so I'm going to let it go. My other cars: 08 Audi A4 3.2 s-line, 08 Opel/Saturn Astra XR, 96 LR Disco Mod'd, 85 Chevy K10 SB PU, 68 VW Type2 double cab PU. Done: Windshield and gasket DRV door seals Paint & rust repair, in 2010 with some bubbles show now in lower front quarters Hood emblem I rebuilt the window regulators on both fronts by drilling and replacing the pot metal pivot bushing Front sub frame mount bushings, kit from peach Both motor mounts, from peach rear trans mount, from peach Drive shaft center bearing Drive shaft flex coupling (Guido) 4 Bilstein shocks Front Wheel bearings Lower ball joints with alignment Steering stabilizer Brake pads front Heater blower motor, as for details on this one, replaced with a 12vdc boat HD bilge evac fan, works better than the original and look/operation just like factory All belts AC belt pulley tenser Alternator AC conversion to R134 and it works too Battery Engine and battery grounds Injectors Glow plugs Inj pump primer All filters Coolant temp sender Thermostat Stereo with 4 speakers Vacuum pump rebuild kit Tires, 4 each 3/4 tread remaining there's more just can't remember right now Needs: Door seals on the 3 other doors Interior is the low point- Seat covers, tears and cracks in 3 of them Head liner, it's there but has 2 tears near the rear glass Center console, cracked and 1 AC vent broken, original stereo was stolen via busting the center console loose Low fuel warning stays on, but fuel gauge works Great towny car due to being an auto, gets 30 mpg usually no matter how you driver her. Fuel conversions are very easy to do with this car too. If question reply, I 'll be posting more pics soon of interior Offers will be entertained, would really like to see the Merty go where she will be cared for and used, not chopped or mod'd.

Mike-
I think pictures of the interior would help us determine a fair offer for your car. You should not worry about a car in that condition being destroyed, as that seems very unlikely. But perhaps (and this is just one random person's opinion), the price may need to come down before you get any takers. I have seen absolutely pristine early w115s sell for $2800. Good luck with your sale.
