1990 300TE Indianapolis

Up for sale is my 1990 300TE that I had an unfortunate incident with. I was run out of my lane by another driver and I mowed down a large curb with both right wheels. I have determined that the rear subframe is bent, and the front lower control arm brackets are pushed in. It also appears that the mount for the idler arm is moved in.

I replaced the following hoping to get it on the road:
Right front tierod(febi), lower control arm(loaded, Lemforder), strut mount(febi).
Right rear tierod(don't recall), thrust arm(meyle).

You cannot drive this car as is...
however, it will move under it's own power quite well.

Before accident condition:
167k miles indicated, odo not working.
Ran/drove/shifted great.
Everything works(a/c, windows, sunroof, etc), rear hatch pull down inop.
I have ALL paperwork for the car since new.
It appears to be a CA car.
Moved to Salt Lake City at some point.
I brought it to Indianapolis(edit: I DROVE it to Indianapolis).
Very very minor surface rust starting to show around a couple trim pieces.
Transmission rebuild in the paperwork. Compression numbers on a PPI from PO.

White with the darker palomino(forget the name) tex. Seats starting to fade from me not parking it in a garage.

To get back on the road, it is my opinion that you would need a replacement rear subframe, and the front LCA mounts "pulled" out. Either a ride on a frame machine or figure something else out.

The incident did cause me to run over a bus stop sign, and as a result the right headlight lens is broken, small dent right above headlight in hood, small dent an A pillar. Also, about 6 inches of the lower rocker panel at the front wheel well is bent in from the curb. Currently hidden behind the plastic trim piece. Other than that the body is in good shape. Original paint, cleans up well with wax.

Presently it's covered in snow... I need to clear it and get pics. It's the car in my avatar, although hard to see. This is an attempt to sell it whole to someone who may want to fix it. I am NOT entertaining offers to part the car out at this time. If it comes to that, I will make another post.

I'll throw a price out there of $1000 obo. I know it's optimistic, but it's a starting point. I know from experience about what I can get parting it, I just don't feel like parting another car. If it is parted out, I will likely keep some choice w124 pieces for myself.

I prefer PM's, but you can ask general questions in the thread.

Search my threads under my name to see some pics of the damage.

Either Monday or Tuesday it's going to the yard for scrap

I would hate to see an otherwise nice wagon get picked to death, then crushed. I would be happy with $600

Remember: I have documentation of a rebuilt transmission! May even be a remanufactured tranny, I don't recall. I've got all records since new. Cali car originally.
