Mileage as of 22-Feb-2012: 195,405
Oil changed at 195,1XX

I had a check engine light pop up last week and the code was for a mass air flow. The light cleared by itself later that day. I check the harness pins and wiring and it checked out good. Count on a mass air flow sensor replacement...

Sorry for the response delay. Price is still $7,000 - FIRM.

I see from your pictures, you have a "K&N" air filter...I had the Speed Tuning chip upgrade done in my car and had them also put a K&N filter in at the same time. Withing 10 miles after installing the filter, my CEL came on and the code was MAF sensor. I cleaned the old sensor and it still threw a code. Replaced the MAF sensor, changed back to the OEM filter and haven't had a problem since. Apparently alot of people have had the same experince with K&N filter. I called them and they claimed it wasn't the filter.

That K&N was very short lived. I removed it because the intake noise was unacceptable for my taste. Hot wire MAF sensors and oil/gauze filters just don't go together!

Thank you for the compliments. Your gorgeous E55 styled E300 was major inspiration for my build.

I didn't think a suitable replacement would come along so quickly! I'll give it to the middle of the week and probably make an ad on autotrader.

Love the CTS-V and like you, I think it has a lot of appeal to Benz heads. New or used? I'm guessing these will start to pop up with 50@75K miles and if they weren't abused that's just about the break in period. Coupla details more?

I bought a low mileage 1st generation 2005 with the 400hp LS6. The 2nd generation 560hp LSA is out of my price range for a vehicle that will be used as a daily driver. It's stock except for a Corsa exhaust and Lingenfelter intake. It really pulls hard and handles surprisingly well. I drove it back to back with a E39 BMW M5 and truly favored the feel of the Cadi. I'll be adding a more aggressive cam here shortly. My co-worker has a Z06 with the identical engine fitted with a hot cam and that lopey idle is just intoxicating!

The only picture I have at the moment:
