Thumbs up FS: 1987 300E w/5 spd. manual trans.

Need to make room so that I can get my own 6 spd SLK320 instead of borrowing from another driver in the family

1987 Mercedes 300E Sedan, 237,000 miles

3 liter, 6 cylinder GAS engine. Gets 23-24 mpg.
5 spd manual transmission (conversion from automatic)
Looks and runs great, drive anywhere. Its been my daily driver for 10 years, service records available.

Delaware safety and emission inspected through March 2015.

Driver airbag, anti-lock brakes, remote central locking
AM/FM/CD with sub-woofer, automatic climate control (cold AC), drivers power memory seat, passenger power seat, sunroof (tilt & slide), factory alarm.

Euro headlights, 16” alloy wheels with almost new tires (2 are new). Lowered suspension (H&R springs), Bilstein sport struts & shocks, Sportline swaybars, stainless brake flex lines.

Has rust in rockers and RR wheel well (picture shows the worst), rear windows do not work (just noticed that), suspension will “clunk” if gear change is not smooth. Occasional ABS light/pulse, driver door lock sticky when cold. EHA is new.

Located in Middletown, Delaware

$2600 cash. Have clear title in hand, drive it home

I have personally seen and driven this car and it is exactly as described. It drives wonderfully and is very quick and comfortable. Whoever ends up buying this is getting a great deal.

"change is good" . Car is no longer for sale. Family member will not be overseas this summer, so a car is needed. Also finances now say no replacement with an SLK or AMG on the trunk this summer. Thanks to all who were interested.

I think your lucky to have kept it.

5 speed manual 300E's are rare; they only made them for '87 and I think '89.

I've been a passenger in one, and the 5 speed really takes advantage of the engine. It's much faster than a regular slush box 300E.

That one is EXTREMELY rare, since by all published accounts, US five speeds were only brought in for the '86 and '88 model years.
