FS: 85 300CD in FL - $2500

Black turbo diesel coupe with black interior. Originally a VA car. Bought 5 years ago off of craigslist and have a had a good time working on it and driving it. Now there isn't the room on the driveway to keep it. It runs fine and smooth all day long with no smoke, even on start up. It is a serviceable vehicle that could be restored further or used as is for years to come.

It came to me with bad gauges and I have never fixed them. I figure I put about 30k on it and the odometer is stuck with 280k on it. There is some slight rust on hood and in trunk wheel pit. There is a bad spot of rust at base of rear window screen and the underside of both doors needs serious attention. Otherwise it is a sound vehicle.

Lots of spare parts (mostly from the 79 I cannabilized for the interior) that would go with, as well as all the manuals you could want. More info to be posted here if there is any interest...and of course I started this post on the one computer in the house without any pictures of the car...they will follow shortly.

I think you scared everyone away with the description of RUST!!!! It sure deterred me from considering it any further. Cancer can be expensive. Perhaps pics of the offending areas might garner you some interest?

I've seen the car myself. The rust isn't all too bad.

Its a nice car but my perspective on why there are no bites. Is that we are hoping it only has 320,000 miles....that by its self is a lot....the interior is not pristine.....nor age matching....missing wood trim....missing caps...plus rust....sorry to say it doesn't have much going for it.... 1200-1500$ might get a sale but for 2500$....I would expect more for my money.....just my two cents....

OK. Appreciate the input. And thanks for the good word 'theDon'. I know in the past, even when $1500 went further, I got a lot less than this car for $1500. I just can't see letting it go for that and would rather put up with the hassle of juggling it in the drive-way.

Looking through old posts for diesels +/or sticks. Is this CD still for sale?

As I'm 3 hours south of you, what is the condition of the Air Conditioning??

Thanks, Austin
