1984 Mercedes Benz Euro 240D "Greasecar"

Euro 240D “Greasecar” for sale

I am selling my Grey Market Mercedes. It is a Euro 240 d four-cylinder NA diesel. It was originally sold in Europe but was imported by someone when new or almost new. The differences are subtle, slim bumpers, Trunk roadside warning triangle, a Factory Trailer hitch (modified to fit a 1-7/8" ball, and euro style light hook up for the trailer. There may be other options I am not aware of.

Specs,
130xxx miles on odometer, probably 200K or more, I don't know the true mileage, as it has been intermittent since I got it 3 yrs ago
Cd Player
All windows manual crank and work except driver's window
Automatic transmission shifts smooth
great mileage from 4 cylinder non-turbo

The Great!!!
Recently driven to Toronto Canada, Tampa Florida, Northern New Jersey, and of course all around town, the tri-county, and the Beaches.
Starts right up hot or cold, and doesn't smoke or idle rough.
Taillights, turn, brake, headlight, hazards, fog lights, interior dome light are all functioning

Recently replaced
Water Pump and belt
All four Glow Plugs
Wiper Spray Nozzles
Wiper Blades
Tie rods
Conversion to H4 Halogen Replaceable bulbs

Recent Service
All injectors removed, cleaned and honed, resealed to proper torque settings with new crush washers and new fuel return lines
Valves adjusted to factory spec
Alignment
All other fluids/filter maintained regularly (fuel filters, oil, ect....)

Has Greasecar kit installed by me when first purchased, It has worked flawlessly and still does. TWO Tank System. The trunk got a little messy but the valves, switches, and even gauge all work as they should (temperature gauge burned out though) a similar kit for this car sells for $1,300 before shipping Mercedes Sedan 1979-1994 | Greasecar Vegetable Fuel Systems
This allows you to burn heated, filtered WVO or Waste Vegetable Oil, Biodiesel in the regular tank, or just straight Diesel (D2) from the pump. Please do your own research about WVO and the processes involved.

The Not so Great
Has damage to driver's side rear door. low speed accident, door still opens and closes albeit with some extra effort. the Window rolls down to appx. 75% and the door lock can be pushed down to lock but is difficult to do. (comes with pictured replacement door, needs to be painted)
very light surface rust on the hood, visible in the pictures. loss of clear coat made it rust slightly and I have not done any touch-up to it.

Slower than a gas car of the same size, Not cartoonishly slow as to not keep up with traffic. Definitely not a racer. Will get up to “normal” highway speeds, just takes a bit.

The tires have slightly uneven wear, I delayed getting an alignment after getting these tires and it shows. Alignment is now dead on, tire wear may not even be noticed on visual inspection, Plenty of tread left and wearing evenly now. (see picture)

The driver’s window does not roll down.

Ho wmuch hacking has been done on the interior or the wiring harness? Any Rust? Would it be a huge chore to return to stock?

it is not perfect, typical issues like the dash has cracks, there is a tear in the passenger seat side/back. as far as wiring goes, the Kit just taps in at the battery with taps and the fuse panel with a ring terminal slid under a fuse.

some standard rust under the rear glass and surface rust as seen in the pics.
