I suspect that the interior color is Bamboo. That's the carpet color that I ordered. The seats appear to nearly be tobacco in color.

There are some minor (non-perforation) rust issues that have been addressed on the car. I will see if I can pull up the orignal photos of the rust abatement that I did on the side panel just forward of the fuel door.

Some before and after photos of when I attacked the rust on the rear quarter panel as well as the most current state of that repair.

And what it looks like currently after tonight's bath:

So no rust under the battery tray, on the rockers, or floor boards?

It had tried to start rusting under the battery tray, but I attacked the minor pitting, cleaned it up, and put some paint on it... along with a new battery tray.

The rockers are very clean. I've been under the car numerous times and there appears to be no rust on the rockers.

I can not speak for the floor boards. I haven't pulled up the insulation, but there is no perforation visible from the underside.

Here is a shot of the firewall before the new battery tray was mounted.

The interior seals (those covered by fabric windlace) are not in the from doors at the moment. I bought new windlace for the seals and the round rubber trim under the b-pillar, along with some brown dye from World Upholstery for both the windlace and the needle felt on the hat tray behind the rear seat.

I've purchased some of the metal clips for the a-pillar trim as well as new plastic retainer clips for the vinly trim board that covers the front of the headliner.

I do, I'm just trying to pry it away from the wife.

Trying to convince her to let me part out the 2 rust buckets I have and pony up for a soild rust free body. Since I told her both rust buckets were ok. (I was not as well informed or knowledgeable about the W123 then) shes a bit skeptical!

Ain't that the way it works sometimes?

You think everything is great, then BAM! I didn't see that before.

I have a guy out here trying to talk me down from $1500...

That is not likely to happen. I have well more than that in maintenance, plus I could always part it out and make twice that.

Heck, it only needs a windshield, one other window, a headlight, taillight, horn, hood and the ability to move and stop under its own power to get $1000 from California's vehicle surrender program.

Add to that an uncracked, unmolested dashboard, a new AC compressor, and a new carpet kit, along with all the other new stuff to make the car nice and comfy and I would be well over my asking price.
