1978 6.9

I have "inherited" a 1978 6.9. Was running when stored. On a non op in california. Grey with Euro front clip. I am posting here to sell or trade. I will post photos and vin # when the car has been delivered. As i do not have a realistic value on this car i welcome any offers. Thankyou.

The car just arrived. It had been stored since 2005. It started up easily and i drove it around. Motor does not smoke. No fluid leaks. PS worked fine. Brakes as well. Has a minor miss, but it could still "boil" the tyers. Does have exhaust leak. A hole in pipe near the center of the car. The suspension rose but the nitrogen balls may be bad, it was a little bouncy. I noticed a worn tie rod passenger side. The body is perfect, no dents, just clear coat peeling and faded paint. Front windshield is not perfect. Has a rock chip. The only rust are a few paint bubbles near the grill. Interior is complete, including first aid kit. It does have 15" Mercedes wheels and a 14" spare. Drivers side door panel is cracked as is the dash. Only one window works. Didn't try the sunroof. I will post some photos tomorrow. I will sell this car for $3000 as is. This car is well worth restoring or you could just drive it as is with a full maintenance. I have seen cars far worse than this going for over $5k. All paper work is clear with a non-op in cal.

I wish I could, too little room and too many projects already. Put it on craigslist in LA and SB.

So once you got it running the suspension came back up, and stays up when the car is parked overnight?

Very tempting, however I'm thinking there are few things more expensive than a cheap 6.9.
