Two 240d's with LOTS of extras
I live in Fort Polk, LA and have two w123’s for sale. Both can be reliably driven home, although one is in much better condition than the other. I’m getting out of the w123 world all together, so I have my spare parts and tools and a lot of extras too.
Photos can be found here: Photo Album - Imgur Ideally, I’m looking to sell both cars with all extras in on large group. I realize this isn’t likely, but I do not plan to sell individual tools, spare parts etc. If you only want one vehicle with the bike rack, or one vehicle with the extra parts, etc. make me an offer. I’m selling to whoever is the highest bidder. I've replaced so much in these vehicles. Instead of typing a huge list, feel free to call me with questions: 513.505.3145 1982 Mercedes 240D: 4 Speed Manual Transmission Professionally installed WVO system European Bumpers European Headlights Rear Headrests Hazard Triangle (Trunk) RC134a Retrofit 20ish years of service records This car is amazingly clean and well maintained. Starts right up and shuts off without a problem. Pretty much everything in this car works except the cruise control ever since I upgraded the brake lights. We just lost one of the hubcaps last weekend – I checked the brakes and must not have completely pressed the cap back onto the wheel. The vacuum locks function well, but the driver’s side door doesn’t lock with the key. 1980 Mercedes 240D: 4 Speed Manual Transmission Hazard Triangle (Trunk) Manual everything I’ve been using this car as my daily driver, but the starter has been getting worse – the bendix drive will spin without engaging the flywheel. It takes about 3-4 tries until it engages on average. The car stops slowly because the vacuum system does not function properly. This car would more ideally function as a parts car – the engine and transmission seem to run very well along with the other major systems aside from the A/C. All the windows are in great condition - it really would be a nice parts car. Extra Parts: Two new valve cover gaskets Four Mann Oil Filters Two Power Steering Filters One Mann Fuel Filter Four One quart Redline MTL Transmission fluid bottles Brake pads (front and rear) for both cars Door Seals for all four doors Trunk Seal Rear Window Seal Two OEM Motor Mounts (Lemforder with scratched out Mercedes Star) Two fuel cans Extras: 1A Yakima roof mounted system with two bike racks Chilton, and Haynes Manual Mercedes official Engine Maintenance book Tool box with tools – includes valve adjustment wrenches. All Craftsman. See photos. Last edited by Krinoh; 06-15-2013 at 01:09 PM. |

For anyone else interested, here are photos of the WVO system NCfriend asked about: Photo Album - Imgur
I thought I'd be able to get involved with a WVO cooperative in Ohio where I'm from - but the Army had different plans for me. I ended up being so busy with a move to Louisiana, that I didn't have time to set up the WVO system. I checked all the pumps (which are operated by the switches in the picture under the dash) and they all function fine. I have the phone number of the guy who put it all together - it was a $1200 investment for him not including the labor it took him to set it up. He gave me a copy of the schematic maps which are included in the photo album as well. Pretty cool guy, he's doing this for a living in CA now. |
