F/S F/T: 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 4Matic 180k Miles Needs transmission $2200 OBO in CT

I'm selling a 1999 Mercedes E320 4Matic with 180k miles in Danbury, CT. I'm the second owner of this car and other then transmission work the car needs nothing and was well maintained. I'm asking $2200 OBO or I will trade for anything of similar value. I bought a new car to replace this car so I don't need another vehicle but I'm still open to trades of other cars (any make) as long as there's no serious rust.

This Mercedes ran and drove fantastic up until about 100 miles ago when the drivetrain developed a high pitch whine which ended up being the transmission letting go. The car will drive a few miles and then the transmission starts slipping out of gear. Assume the car needs the transmission replaced but somebody mechanical might be able to rebuild this one.

4 new bridgestone tires, new rear brake pads & rotors, new bosal catalytic convertor, tune up with 12 new spark plugs and AC recharge were done in the past 7k miles (AC is cold and heat is hot). All power options work, and the car has no check engine light despite the transmission slipping. The car passed CT emissions a few months ago.

A link to more pictures on my web space is HERE

Contact me by PM or text me at (203) 470-2203 if you're interested in the car. I am available most Sundays to show the car as well as one random day off I will have during the weekdays from work (different every week).

Price lowered to $2000 OBO, the drivers side fender got hit (not badly) in a driveway tap when one of my parents backed into it while it was in storage at their house and they weren't used to the car being there in that parking space. Only a little bit cosmetic, repairing it will be optional - will try to take a picture the next few days to show minor damage.
