1995 E320 sedan

Located in Orlando, Florida.

Selling the wife's car because she upgraded to an SUV. I would like to avoid parting it out, because I have very little free time, but send me your offers.

It has a intermittent hesitation and hunts for idle from time to time. I've narrowed to down to the fuel pumps and/or the original throttle body actuator (has a '94 date stamp)

Has a lot of new parts
The good: ("new" = less than 3,000miles)
New rotors and pads front and rear
New "STM" coils (x3)
Bosch copper core spark plugs
Updated 2003 wiring harness
New MB driveshaft flex joint
New gold top duralast battery
Newish firestone tires (x2 have alignment wear with life left, x2 are new)
New MB shifter linkage bushings
Newish MB neutral safety switch (1yr old)
New bosch wiper blade

The bad:
AC blower motor just went out. You can feel the ice cold AC, but it just doesn't circulate.
-gas gauge doesn't work (float in tank needs to be cleaned)
-Failing fuel pumps (sometimes acts up causing a hesitation and ocassional trouble starting) pumps are external and very easy to get to.
-Driverside/rear window regulator broke. Window doesn't stay up.
-Sagging headliner
-Has a few misc missing int pieces
-x2 small chips in the windshield. They were on the car when we got it 4years ago.
-Steering wheel material is worn
-uses a quart of oil every 3months at oil change.
-pulls slightly to the left at highway speeds.
-a little paint hazing (on the roof and hood)

I knew I was forgetting something

Asking $1700obo
I might consider parting it out if I get a solid offer on the motor, trans, and or wiring harness.

Not in the time that I have owned the car, so I can't say for sure. I can do a compression test to ease any concerns you might have.

The motor and transmission feel strong.

Got it home today. Didn't realize that it was a special edition (or that a special edition 124 was a thing).

Looking forward to getting my wagon back on the road.

The Special Edition models were introduced around April of 1995, so not all 1995 W124 models were Special Editions. The Special Edition package included special metallic paint, special 6 hole alloy wheels, integrated analog cell phone, trunk mounted six-disk CD player, high performance 10 speaker sound system, drivers seat memory, electrically adjustable steering column (no tilt), stainless steel door sills and burl walnut interior trim. On the E320 and E300 diesel the extra cost was $1,295 for the options that were worth about $4,300. The E420 package cost only $495 since it already had burl walnut trim, driver seat memory and the high performance 10 speaker sound system. Paint colors available were Moonstone Grey, Azure Blue, Sapphire Black (exclusive to the Special Edition) and a new color called Brilliant Emerald Green. I think these were the only colors used on the Special Editions.

The official Mercedes Benz of North America position was that the release of the 1995 E Class Special Edition was to celebrate the 10th year of production of the W124 series. I think it was more likely that back in 1995, Mercedes had a tough time moving the W124 E Class since the new W210 E Class was going to be released in the 1996 model year.
