I concur although I suspect due to my larger size I might still want a w126 land yacht around.

They may or may not fit you. Their sedan template was a result of the Chrysler-Daimler cross pollenation. It's basically an Intrepid. One of the best sedan designs going in the early '00s. Cab-forward cabin, severely pitched windshield, wide-stance......best try one on for your ergonomics / space before buying....

Oh, the memories.... I think mine was immediately pirated for the motor. Put into a speed boat. Am told the LEM 462s were wonderous in that application, and might still rule certain race classes. 485 # ft of torque, un-modified. Indeed.

My cousin picked up the car late this afternoon from Tyler in Wichita, his brother is helping as copilot for the trip back home to Virginia Beach. Spoke to them a couple of hours ago and they were eastbound on the Kansas turnpike with the cruise control on 80 MPH.

They are planning on driving all night and should arrive home tomorrow around 1-2pm.

Got back around 4pm EST.

Had 4 hours of absolute deluge while crossing the front that draped over Ill and In. Our speed was down to 40mph for quite a while.

Otherwise, great trip, but we're beat, and headed for bed.......

Oh, the car ran great, thanks Tyler!

First, It was a pleasure to deal with Tyler.

I don’t generally buy a car (at least one that is this costly) without an eyes on review.
Based upon my cousin’s experience last year when he bought a CDI from Tyler, I felt pretty comfortable taking a flyer on a car I’d not personally vetted.

Tyler was there at the airport, waiting for me when I arrived.
We drove back to his business, and conducted the transfer of the car and loaded the extra set of wheels.
Put a 60 day tag on the car, and I was off.
The CDI was pretty much what I expected it to be based upon his description, no disappointment there.
I’d certainly join his other customers and wholeheartedly recommend him as a good guy from whom to buy a car.

After I left Tyler’s I topped off the tank, and stopped to get some supplies for the trip back.
Picked up one of my brothers (Tucson) from the airport, and we headed East.

Had the cruise locked on 80mph for most of Kansas, and well into Missouri.
Fuel mileage indicated 39. something on the readout.
Had to drop the average speed through the St. Louis area due to construction and congestion, then everything cleared out once we were into Illinois.
Still running 39+ on the mpg readout.

Then we hit the front and torrential rains.
Had heavy rain throughout Ill and Indiana, slacked off once we got into Kentucky.
Due to the rain, we dropped our speed to between 40 and 60mph for multiple hours.
Surprisingly, the MPG dropped. By the time we exited the storm, we had dropped to 35+ mpg.
I can only think that the amount of water on the road was giving a significant resistance to the forward motion.

Stopped in Charleston, WV for breakfast, and then ran the rest of the way home.
Ending mpg average was 38+.

Car ran great, amazing how much power it has.
It just laughed at the WV mountains.

Right now my brother in Raleigh has the car, and I should get it back next weekend.
I’m getting his truck painted and loaned him the CDI for a couple of weeks.
He reported 41mpg indicated for his trip home.

All in all, great seller, great car, great road trip.

Jim
