1986 Mercedes 300 SDL

I have for sale my 1986 Mercedes 300 SDL (Diesel). The car is in good shape and currently has 280,000 miles, nothing for a diesel. The exterior color is beige and the interior is chocolate brown. I purchased the car for the original owner a few years ago. I restore older Mercedes as a hobby, and have done some work on this one. The transmission was rebuild with in the last six months. The car does need a idle pulley replaced. This is not a major repair. Can not be driven until it is done. With the idle pulley needing replacement, the water pump and etc. cannot function properly. I am willing to make adjustments for this repair. However, you can hear it run, Engine and transmission are in great shape.

I lost my main job and have a new job making much less. Got to make some adjustments to my hobbies to fit my new budget. All reasonable offers considered. I was using the car as my daily driver until the pulley gave out. I was not planning to get ride of this car, because I searched for a long time to fine one in this condition. My loss is now your gain.

Please feel free to contact me using the link about to discuss this further and arrange a viewing. This vehicle is BEING SOLD AS IS and does have normal wear for it's age. $2500.00 OBO...

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.....

Not sure on the AC, I have not tried it. I just fixed the climate control system. The plug on the back of the cluster was not aligned properly. I fixed it and not it is working properly. I have to check the AC. I would imagine it could use a charge.

And you have no idea of the exact condition of the AC?
Come on man...

Good evening

I did check the AC and it needs To be charged. The air was mildly cool and not freezing. As I had also stated, I have had several things going on and have not had the funds or interest to work on the car. Because I have been busy, I have decided to a sell the car. I just got enough interest in the car or anything else to begin working on it again. I only focused on getting it back on the road and not other items. I apologize to you that my answer isn't enough for you. There are things that happen in peoples lives that demand attention.

Again I apologize.

Ron

Hi Ron, I'm interested as I'm not too far away. But, I have a question the paint on the passenger-side between the fender and RF door it looks to have been painted and not faded correctly like the RR passenger door and RR passenger quarter panel. Has this been smacked or have the doors been replaced because of rust of some sort? Thanks
