For sale is a very clean 1988 Mercedes 300TE wagon. I am selling this for a friend. The previous owner claims that it was always dealer maintained in Dayton and I believe him because it obviously shows. Overall, this is a solid running car with a few things that could use some attention (this is an old car therefore it's not perfect). Please, no low ballers or tire kickers. The Pros:
• Motor runs like a top
• Interior is very clean
• Exterior is very clean
• Dealer maintained for most of it's life
• Smooth ride

The Cons:
• Sometimes on startup the engine idles high for a small period of time
• Radio does not work
• Rear windows do not work (bad switch)
• Front tires would eventually need replacing
• ABS light is on

Some more details:

-SLS does work! Recently flushed with OEM hydraulic fluid. New feed hose to the pump
-Head gasket is not leaking. Looks like it may have been done before.
-Front cover has a small "seep" from lower left side
-Lower rockers appear good (selling this for a friend so I haven't picked over the jack points. No bad noises when putting the car on the lift).
-Front end does not "thud" when braking
-Wood trim in center console has one chip. Rest of it is in great shape
-It does appear it's had some work done in the front with the tensioner and water pump. This car was VERY well maintained. Under the hood it's pretty clean. A lot of new hoses and clamps.
-It idles pretty rock solid. When it's stone cold the idle "might" be considered a little rough but it sounds like a CIS car to me.
