If I don't sell this week, they are getting crushed.
82 300 SD engine/trans pulled, no rust
83 300 SD engine/trans pulled, no rust 83 300 SD lots of rust, and several parts cut off the car... 83 300 SD a bit of low external rust, but decent driver, ready to drop engine and trans in. or crush.. 85 300 SD, daily driver until VP took out cam gear... 85 300D engine/trans pulled, all engines and trans are available as well, they're just not in the cars. also, a few other MB's parts, etc... make offer, or just come get them!

What is the structural and cosmetic condition of the W123? I have a strong 240D engine and transmission in a near terminally rusted body. I have a big decision to make on that one too....and where are you located?

Can't do anything, since I'm still here in MS.. And I won't know if I have a good motor/trans or not until I get back... Not that any of this really helps you out.

the 85D has a lightly mushed in right rear tail light below the lip of the trunk, lid closes tight, no leaks. there is a wrinkle in the same quarter panel at the base of the C pillar. should easily pop back out. all metal is rust free, but I've not pulled fenders off, so that area behind the front wheels may have debris rust, as is SOOO FREAKING COMMON with these cars. (why oh why did MB make it so difficult for the drains???)
and yeah, I'm in Mt Holly, NC... sortof... in an area called Catawba Heights, between, N. Belmont, and S. Mt Holly....

I didn't get much response on them, so... I'm starting with the rusty 83SD, and I'll go on to the near perfect 85D what a waste...
