Because I recently had to purchase a brand new car and assume a monthly car payment. I am forced to sell my weekend hobby car. This is a 1986 Mercedes Benz 190D N/A Diesel automatic trans. This model year is equipped with the 2.5L 5 cylinder engine which is faster and more powerful than the older model years that had the 2.2L 4cylinder.

This car was well maintained by it's previous owner who was a diesel mechanic by trade. It was driven 90mi. a day as a daily commuter. When I bought it 5 years ago, it had around 265k on it. Now it is at approx 267k

The good stuff:

Mechanically sound: Starts, runs, shifts and stops great.

I get around 30MPG

Transmission was rebuilt at approx 186K (I have records)

Body and interior are good.

Good tires, brakes and shocks

Recent battery, radiator

I updated the headlights so they are halogen, not the OEM sealed beams, I also moded the tail lights, adding an extra lamp. (euro spec)

The car comes with manuals, and some extras. (oil, filters, some extra trim parts).

Had the steering lock mech replaced (old mercedes fans know what a pitfall that can be)

Currently registered, smog exempt, clear title

The not so good stuff:

Sunroof does not work (don't know, never pursued it)

Driver side rear window does not work (it used to)

I would like to pass her on to another benz enthusiast, or someone who can appreciate her.
I'm asking $2200.00. I want to sell, so I am open to offers.
