1985 300D for sale in PNW
I'm planning to sell my 85 300D that I've owned for about 3 years. This has been my daily driver that I have also been maintaining and refurbishing as time has allowed. It has 292k miles on the odometer.
It has a frybrid two-tank system installed by the PO. I run it on WVO about 75% of the time without issue. The frybrid system can also be temporarily shutoff and the second wvo tank can be used as a second diesel tank. If sold in the Northwest I will include my contact for clean, inexpensive WVO. I am selling only because, with 4 kids, I would like to purchase an '87 300td with 3rd row seating. We have a vanagon as our main family hauler, but I am starting to think it wise to have a second vehicle that can fit the entire family when needed. Here's a mostly complete list of the work I have done on it in the past few years: * new injectors (new monark nozzles and bench tested) * rebuilt front and rear calipers (rebuilt the originals at goldline brakes in Georgetown, seattle) * new rotors, pads, parking brake shoes and braided steel brake lines * new glow plugs * new oil cooler lines * new transmission cooler lines (hard and soft) * bilstein hd shocks front and rear * new sunroof cable and gears * new motor mounts * new flex discs/guibos on the driveline * added keyless entry * valves adjusted regularly (last adjustment on 11/17/2013) * powersteering serviced, supply line replaced * kmac performance springs in the front (lowers car about 1 inch), cut springs half-rung in the rear. * new ball joints (upper and lower) * new tie rods * new starter * period correct bbs 15inch rims (possibly willing to negotiate on price if I can keep the bbs rims) * Euro Bumpers * Black cloth/mbtex seats, black door panels * frybrid controls and indicators built into the instrument cluster and console buttons (ie. the controls are not hacked into the ashtray) Here's some pics. The car is pretty dirty at the moment. There is some surface rust in a few areas but nothing major, mostly on the lower valance seams. You'll also notice I tried to black-out the trim in a few areas with varying degrees of success. That's plasti-dip so it rubs off fairly easy. Asking 5500. IM if interested. |
