05 E55 estate in LA

2005 Mercedes Benz E55 station wagon with folding 3rd row. 86950mi, asking $26900. Metallic steel exterior, charcoal leather. 19" Made in Japan SSR GT3 wheels, plenty of thread on tires. Nav, Bi-xenon, dynamic perforated heated/cooled seats, new-ish supercharger, Bluetooth and ipod connected. A couple of aftermarket parts: FTP large chargecooler (just installed), EC tune with OBD2 cable included. 430 rwhp, 454 lb-ft torque, dynoed at RRE, a known LA EVO outfit. PO was NYC millionare so MB extended warranty was effective until end of '12. All service done at MB Manhattan; previously, it was in SF, maintained at MB Pleasanton. Full service records available. Since Nov '11 Mercedes West Covina performed most services, with some maintenance by Silver Star in Rosemead.

This is/was the weekend vehicle for a parent couple, but wifey loves sliding door sand it would be nice to get her a new car for Xmas. Would only trade for '12-13 Mazda5 with leather -- see, not joking about the sliding door. If someone with an Mazda5, and $8000 cash, is actually looking at an uber wagon, I'd celebrate this awesome coincidence by tossing in an extra set of 5-spoke AMG 18" rims.

While others like to talk about 2005's 129 production number, it's more interesting how current E55 estate owners searched for their vehicles. I flew out to NYC to buy and shipped the car back after looking for a year to find the right color/package package (no power lift gate/keyless, less to break). The PO sold this E55 estate for his E63 TT wagon.

I love these - not only does the car haul ass, but it tells when you to smoke a joint and relax too. Great car.

I have a 2006 one of these. Hope Tony doesn't mind me jumping in with an answer...

About 14 city, 19 highway is what I see down here in Texas. You might do a little better highway in a place with lower speed limits. Given that it's supercharged, premium fuel is an absolute requirement.

I fuelly'd the car up to Jan '13, it avg'd 16.3 mpg over 17K mi. These were all mixed miles in Los Angeles county traffic. a 300D it ain't, but... that's why we also have a Prius.

I thought the E55 AMGs were great till I drove the E55 Kleemann sedan. Even better. I've never driven the Estate though. Any AMG is a blast so I'm sure it's great. Why ya sellin?

the estate is known to launch even harder cuz heavier arse = more traction. kleeman sedan has headers + pulleys over my car, my car only has ECU tune.

the reason for selling?

wifey loves sliding doors

i thought the wagon would be the perfect solution for me, but i realized, after actually having 2 kids since i purchased the car, my kids are too lil, and need 2 friggin car seats. this car would be PERFECT for some power-whore baseball dad whose kids have overgrown the back of the 997, whose kids'd have friend who'd love to sit in the third row. by the time my kids get to be 55 lbs, i'll be perfectly ready for the next AMG wagon.

Any accident history? The badges on the rear are in the wrong position.
