The lovely Lola was my daily driver for years. Now she needs a rescuer. Or she will be stripped naked and crushed. And after only 280,000 miles!
She deserves more than I can give here in SE Michigan. Translation: I can't afford to fix/register/insure/improve/maintain her, but hate the idea of Lola pancake. A friend offered me a "loaner" (insured and expenses paid) until the weather improved, then until I was back to work full time, then until I caught up on bills, then.... AND I'm still driving his soulless Honda 2 years later. But--the time limit for Lola as yard art has been reached. Having an unregistered car parked permanently in the yard is a guy thing (I really don't understand). So, Lola must be gone by the time my garden is ready for plants. Won't somebody save her from the evil crusher? She starts up even in the coldest weather. She runs decently and she's got 15 inch bundts. Body not ready for the swimsuit issue, but rust is minimal. I replaced the glow plugs, and the battery with a Mercedes AGM 2 years (less than 1000 miles) ago. But she's loud, she's kinda stinky, and she wiggles a bit. Still, if I were handier/wealthier/luckier, she'd be a daily driver again. Welcome any reasonable offer--great parts or fair project car. Message me for more deets or pix.
