Silver 1983 300D Euro Non Turbo, No rust, great driver, 207K Portland OR.
Got a 83 300D Euro, automatic trans. non sunroof, up for sale,
PRO's It has newer Bridgestone tires with good alignment -All the electric windows work -All the Vac locks work -The dash lights all work except for 1/2 the heater control switches -Excellent running non turbo Engine and perfect shifting auto Trans. Awesome Daily driver, plenty of umfff.. -Good brake pads all around, New in rear -Euro heater controls with dual climate settings -New water pump and Non Phosphate coolant. -No leaks! inside or outside, carpet is all there and in great shape -No rust!!! none in the trunk, wheel wells, bottom of doors, jack points, roof... Etc. -Great oil pressure, very little blow by, almost non existent exhaust smoke. -Recently new fuel filters. Delo Oil and oil filter. -Properly working ODO, believed to be correct -Vac pump pulls 23 in/Hg on the gauge -Also being a Euro model, the car sits about an inch higher than the suspension on the U.S. models and feels better. //////////Didnt know weather to list this in the pros or cons.... Aftermarket Pioneer CD player with great sounding speakers. CON's: All Pretty minor -207k miles so there is a little bit of play in the wheel that I noticed -It has a blue MB tex int. but the back seat is black, Dont know the story on that, although it doesn't stand out real bad. -The hood is sun faded and the trunk lid has a few small cleaecoat scratches from people setting things on it. -The drivers door has a small dent with some minor clearcoat scratches. I think the scratches would buff out though, they don't seem to be very deep, I also think the dent would pop out if you removed the door panel and pushed on it. -Non Op. A/C , although the A/C clutch engages when supplied with power. -Dash pad has cracks in it -Drivers side headlamp collects a small bit of condensation inside during the wet months but goes away once the lights are on for a short while. -Drivers seat feels a little worn down -Radio antenna is stuck in the "up" position -No maintenance records from previous owner All in All though, a great old Merc. $2500 David, 503-839-2935 I have not listed it up for sale yet other than this forum. A couple engine pics of the 83
That's not a detailed engine bay either, that's what it looks like after 7 months of driving a car with an engine that doesn't leak
