Yeah, those are the guesses i've always heard, but that doesn't explain; why just wagons? Why did they still have diesels in the various sedans? If it were truly about sulfur content or emissions, wouldn't that have affected ALL the diesels? What made the difference in wagons and the "other models"?

Let me know when you get close to finishing that project! I'll be interested! I assume that driveline is out of a sedan? What about the SLS? Hope you're not swapping shocks in for it. Probably not a deal breaker, though. Hmm, 1992 2.5 driveline? What is that out of? Thanks! Bob |

sorry, 1993 300d sedan w/ a moldy interior. not sure how they did the sls on the later w124 wagons but i thought i heard it wasn't off the motor. probable have to get a look at the current set up once there isn't 2 feet of snow on the hood

Thanks for all the PMs. I feel the same way when I see something in SoCal, the PNW, etc. The distance between us is a killer I guess. Going to go DC -area (local) with an ad next week.
