Small rust area around antennae(shown)
Professionally repaired rust area on Passenger fender

Passenger window doesnt go down, Possible regulator
Small tear in passenger rear seat

Other than that the car always gets looks and compliments wherever shes goes, always washed and waxed and it really shows the love this car has had. Interested but I'm also in the for sale and waiting game. Where did you find a same year motor with such low mileage? Or, are you saying YOU put 70K on the new motor? Who did the swap? Self, an indy, or a dealer?

What makes it so rare pls? There seems to be a goodly number of these beasts around.

There is noticeable differences between a E320 Coupe and an E320 *SPORTLINE* coupe.

The steering box and suspension make it alone a different ride period. That is just two differences.

Sportline option[edit]
Mercedes-Benz offered an option called "Sportline" for the W124 and W201 chassis cars. This option was available in the North American market for the 1992-93 model year 190E 2.6, 1992-93 300E/300CE and 1993-95 E320/E320 Coupe. In the European market, however, the "Sportline" option was available for all body styles except the E500/500E. The option package included sport seating (sedans, not coupes), wider wheels (7" rather than 6.5") and lower profile tyres (205/60 x 15 rather than 195/65 x 15), quick ratio steering and a smaller diameter steering wheel, "Sportline" badges on the front wing moldings and gear knob, a slightly lowered ride height and a specially tuned suspension including shorter, stiffer springs, struts, anti-roll bars, and bushings.
The suspension components of the Sportline package were available as an option on all cars, including estates, as Option 653 - Sports Chassis with 8-Hole light alloy rims.


Guys please do your research BEFORE commenting on a post, you might see Coupes around but VERY FEW Sportline models..

Is this a grey market car..Japanese? Side lights by Sportline badge are not original on US cars....and the Sportline badge on the trunk isn't original. Can you post the VIN please.

I've seen that sportline badge on the trunk lid FS on eBay but I'm not saying it wasn't a factory install. Dealerships do things like adding chrome plating to wheels, adding a badge would be easy.
There currently happen to be two '93 300CE Sportlines FS in southern Calif (I happen to be searching CL this evening).

Sportline cars are rare but I'll wager that my '87 300D Sportline is probably more rare! I stopped short of changing the steering gear and going to wider tires but I did install OE sportline W124 chassis components which resulted in a great, sporty drive considerably better handling than the soft OE chassis.
I call it my '87 a road warrior due to better for a driver who is able and willing to make quick maneuvers. Not a lil ole ladies sunday driver.
