'92 230CE Sportline 5-speed

Listing this for my brother. Car is located in Joliet, IL.

Below is his Ad:

1992 Mercedes Benz 230CE Sportline. 5spd manual transmission. Very rare. It was imported by a German who bought it new in 1992, then brought it over in 1997. All of the old records, paperwork, owner's manual all in German, kind of cool. Power windows, locks, passenger side mirror. Heated Sportline leather seats in great shape. In fact, the interior is probably a 9/10. Exterior 8/10. AC is ice cold. Fun car to drive, and rides like a w124 Mercedes should. Upgraded 16" CLK lightweight wheels with good rubber. Will include original Sportline wheels (without tires) with sale for the right price. Would be great to mount a set of winter tires on, or to return the car to its original look. Euro headlights will be included too, I just haven't had time to install them. Mileage unknown, but let's just say 177,000 miles. Records to show kms from Europe, but it is unknown what happened when it was imported. It now has US gauges. All new Mercedes stock stainless steel exhaust from the headers back.

He's asking $4500obo, but I'm pretty sure he is flexible.

PM me for more info.

What are those rims called? I have them on my w116 parts car but haven't had them off yet to look at them.

CLK wheels from 1999 (or was it 2000?) they are drop forged and fit the 124 perfectly no problems with offset.

1999 to be precise.

This a great car. Just needs a M119 under the hood and it'd be even better. I love the 5-speed. What is a Mercedes coupe for if you're not getting speeding tickets and tail anyway?

They actually don't look too out of place on the W116. Very good design to look good spanning 3 decades of cars

I would be interested in the original wheels only. Can you provide more photos of the car including the interior, engine bay, and a shot underneath? How about a video starting both from cold and hot? Any information on past repairs especially to the driveline?
